Under-17s Team Miss Out

The Leicester Tigers team was edged out in a 26-24 defeat by the rival team Northampton Saints in an under-17s fixture on Saturday at Franklin’s Gardens.

The visitors made 24-21 until the game’s last play when Saints registered their winning score. The match was played on the pitch of the main stadium, on the year’s hottest so far, it was the Tigers who made the breakthrough by scoring just after the 11 minutes of game start. It was the effort of Luke Phoenix.

The University of Leicester recorded a double win over their rivals from De Montfort University at Welford Road on Monday evening in the Varsity rugby.
In fixtures which was re-arranged from their usual March slot, the team of Leicester beats their opponent with the score 22-10 in the women’s match and then has a convincing 44-0 victory in match of men’s at the home of Leicester Tigers, in front of a big Varsity Night crowd.

Tuilagi Announces Birth Of First Child

Manu Tuilagi the Leicester Tigers rugby star has made an announcement on social media that he has become a father. This is the first time Tuilagi has become the father and his excitement is clearly visible on his face.

Tuilagi is 26-year-old now and he plays from England international. When he became a father, he could resist making an announcement about this and thus he took the social media platform to declare the news. He published a photograph of him holding the newborn daughter.

GABIGOL WINS 2017 BIDONE D’OR

Gabriel Barbosa has been awarded the ‘Bidone d’Or’ which is the worst player in the Serie A for the 2017 season. The Brazilian joined Inter Milan back in 2016. He attracted interests from numerous sides but he preferred to join Inter.

Gabigol had a frustrating time since joining, featuring only nine times for the club. He was eventually sent on loan to Portuguese side Benfica at the end of last season. He has also struggled with expectations in Portugal, playing just once.
