RVP WORLD CUP IN DOUBT

Robin van Persie is one of the latest stars that are in doubt as to whether or not he will be available to play for the 2014 World Cup as the Dutchman is undergoing treatment after suffering from an injury that will leave him out of action for around 5 weeks.

The medical staff of Manchester United announced some of the details of the injury that the former Arsenal player sustained and the staff estimated that Van Persie will be out of action from 4 to 6 weeks. Van Persie returned to his homeland in Holland where he will be receiving treatment for the upcoming weeks.

The 30 years old attacker is not expected to play any of the remaining Premier League matches according to the allemagne portugal cote website which is a huge blow for David Moyes who already is going through intense pressure and criticism after a series of disappointing results in his debut season in charge of United.

Van Persie picked up the injury during the last few minutes of Manchester United’s Champions League match against Olympiakos after he had scored 3 goals which was just enough for David Moyes and his players to advance into the next stages of the European tournament, unfortunately for them they were later eliminated as Bayern Munich claimed a 3-1 triumph.

Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Kevin Strootman, Victor Valdes, Radamel Falcao and Van Persie are some of the stars which are trying to recover from their injury in order to play for the 2014 World Cup while some of them have already been ruled out from the worldwide competition as they will just not be able to recover in time.
