Milito Looking To Return To Argentine Football

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has officially confirmed that he will leave the Italian outfit at the end of the season. The announcement has been expected for some time given that he was out of contract in the next few weeks. Both the club and the player have not been looking towards extending the contract. The 34 years of age, it has been heavily rumoured that Milito will be looking to return to the Argentine football. He has spent the best part of last decade in European football playing for the likes of Genoa and Inter Milan.

RVP WORLD CUP IN DOUBT

Robin van Persie is one of the latest stars that are in doubt as to whether or not he will be available to play for the 2014 World Cup as the Dutchman is undergoing treatment after suffering from an injury that will leave him out of action for around 5 weeks.

The medical staff of Manchester United announced some of the details of the injury that the former Arsenal player sustained and the staff estimated that Van Persie will be out of action from 4 to 6 weeks. Van Persie returned to his homeland in Holland where he will be receiving treatment for the upcoming weeks.

SAMUEL CHANGES CLUBS

The 23 years old Brazilian forward of LA Galaxy joined the American club on a loan deal that will run up until the end of the season as he made his way from Fluminese to the Major League Soccer club, Los Angeles Galaxy. Samuel expressed what it feels like transferring from different leagues and playing style.

How did the CL Draw Affect the Betting?

Manchester United’s unlikely 3-0 victory over Olympiakos in the Champions League earlier this week looks likely to be their swansong in the competition, after David Moyes’ men were handed arguably the worst possible draw for the quarterfinals, in the defending champions, Bayern Munich.

The beauty of the Champions League is that it is difficult to claim an easy ride through the competition. If Munich or Barcelona stumble in the group stages, the likes of PSG and Real Madrid will still offer resistance to any club in the world.

Late push from Inter

It’s all coming a bit too late in the day for Walter Mazzarri's men. It’s a pity the current run of good form which has seen them push all the way up to sitting just a point away from fourth-placed Fiorentina after a five match unbeaten run, didn’t come earlier in the season.

Let’s face it – it’s too late to try and call the current season any kind of ‘success’ and obviously no-one has a cat in hell’s chance of catching Juventus. So it’s all about next season and maybe, just maybe, Inter now present good value for next year’s Serie A if you fancy a bit of a gamble?

WILL MILITO GO?

Diego Milito appears to be in his final stages of the Inter Milan career, but he will forever been known for his exploits with the team during the 2010 season.

He had just arrived from Genoa in a £ 10 million deal, but he catapulted the club to immense success after helping them win the treble. This included the Champions League title as well, which was the first that the club had won in more than four decades. Despite his achievements, he was overlooked for the FIFA Ballon d’Or award, which was ultimately won by Lionel Messi.

MILITO BACKS GUARIN

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has come out in support of midfielder Fredy Guarin, whose future has been thrown into doubt after the proposed move to Juventus fell through at the last moment.

The 27-year-old was in talks with Juventus and came close to signing for the Italian Giants in a swap deal involving the movement of striker Mirko Vucinic. Vucinic was expected to go the other way, while Guarin would have joined the table leaders Juventus.

BETTER TIMES

The Argentinean forward of Inter Milan has seen better times with the Inter Milan as some seasons ago he was the main attacking outlet for the Italian team, being named as the top goal-scorer for Inter Milan some time ago.

His career is going downhill now as he has only been able to play a limited amount of matches in this season after being plagued with a number of injuries that has left him more time on the sidelines than on the actual pitch. The last time he played with Inter Milan was back in October when As.Roma defeated Inter Milan with a final score of 3-0.

ONE OF THE BEST

Diego Milito is regarded as one of the finest strikers to have played for Inter Milan. He was an integral part of the Milan team that won the Champions league and the Italian Serie A along with the Italian club in one single season.

FRESH START

It was only three years ago that Inter Milan won the Champions league title along with two other major trophies, thus completing the first Italian treble. Argentine striker Diego Milito played a huge role in the success by scoring 30 goals in that season. Inter have fallen into bad times since then.
